What Farm Bureau team members say...
Farm Bureau has not only been a great place to work it is also my family away from home. The people I have met and worked side by side with over the years have taught me so much. Not only has Farm Bureau rewarded me with a wonderful career but it has allowed for me to have quality of life with my family & friends.
I started my career with Farm Bureau 5 years ago in an employee facing role and I have always been impressed with the time and effort that Farm Bureau puts into taking care of the communities we live in, the employees, and our insureds. This has been apparent since the day I started with the continuous and constant dedication to take things to the next level. We are never complacent, and this makes me feel confident that Farm Bureau will live on for many years to come and I am proud to be a part of that.
Farm Bureau Insurance isn't a job, it's a career. Since I started with Farm Bureau at the end of 2016, I was fortunate enough to see change. System changes, culture changes, and leadership changes. With change comes growth!
If you want a place that believes in change, that believes in their employee's careers, that fosters a growth mindset, that cares about our customers and our community, you found it! Farm Bureau Insurance company is proven, trusted, and reliable since 1947. This is why I love working here.
Farm Bureau has been a great place to work. I have enjoyed getting to learn new aspects of the industry. I love working with our Farm Bureau customers, so blessed to be with such a great company! My boss, Matt Anderson is especially great to work with.
Idaho Farm Bureau has been a great opportunity for me. Not only has it been a place of work, it's been a place of learning, growing and fun. I have developed great friendships, gained great mentors and a great sense of self. I'm proud to work for Idaho Farm Bureau and am excited to see what the future of Farm Bureau holds.
Being a less tenured employee, I don't know as much about the past as I do about the future, and how bright it looks! What I love about working at Farm Bureau is certainly the people and history, but also our Mission, Vision and Values statement, something non-employees may not be aware of. Knowing that we are all holding ourselves accountable, pulling in the same direction to do our best for such a great state, sometimes through failure and that's okay, drives me everyday. We do not rest on our laurels, always striving to be better. We owe it to the families, farms and businesses of Idaho. The employees, agents and customers of Farm Bureau have a lot to look forward to!
This experience has been awesome for me as a person and for my family. Coming home everyday from work with a smile on my face is a great feeling. The culture, the atmosphere, and the energy here is awesome. It starts from the top with Todd. He always shows good energy and the rest of the company feeds off of that.
I've worked at Farm Bureau for almost 5 years, and in that time I have gained more than can be easily put into words. When I started, I hadn't even thought about a career here. I was looking for a good place to work while planning on continuing my college education past my degree. What I found was a great place to work and the desire to start a career. It's a pretty special thing when a place you call your "job" becomes a place where wonderful memories and true friendships are made.
Working at Farm Bureau has not only helped me grow in my career, but also in my personal life. I've learned so much from this company and the people I work with. My personal growth is something everyone around me has noticed and I owe a majority of that to Farm Bureau. I can't wait to see what the years ahead of me hold with this company. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Farm Bureau as an employee, and also as a customer!
After high school, I never thought I would end up working for an Insurance company, but three years in and I love it. We aren’t just coworkers here, we are family. Working for Farm Bureau has been a great experience for me to grow my knowledge and build relationships with some amazing people. I love working here and I can’t wait to see what the future brings to Farm Bureau.
I started on August 1, 1980 before computers were on every desk and phones on every person. The County secretary was the only staff for the office. All that was required besides an insurance license was a pen, a calculator, a rate book and some applications for P&C and Life. I shared a phone on the wall with the claims adjuster whose desk was next to mine. We have come a long ways since then and have seen many changes and will see more to come. It has been a great ride and allowed me to see other parts of the country and world and provided us the means to build 3 homes, raise 6 children and see them through college and marriage. There are things I perhaps should have done differently but they are in the past . I can only change the future by the things I do today. Thank you Farm Bureau for life lessons taught.
Working at Farm Bureau has been amazing! I started in January of 2017 and just completed the 5th year of my career at Farm Bureau. It has offered me opportunities to work in project management, underwriting, customer experience and strategic planning. I feel blessed to be a part of an organization that values me as a human resource and values my opinions and ideas. Being able to contribute is what makes me feel pride in my career. Farm Bureau offers careers that allow you to contribute and make a difference. I'm grateful for that. I also love that Farm Bureau is an active corporate citizen. I take a lot of pride in being able to volunteer and give back. I love that my children know where I work and that they talk positively about my career and co-workers. It has been a wonderful 5 years and I look forward to continuing my career at Farm Bureau. - Thank you Farm Bureau
In 2022 I will have 32 years as an agent with Farm Bureau. I have seen many changes in those 32 years. We just have to keep in mind that change is inevitable and necessary. Farm Bureau has been very good to me. It allowed me to set my own schedule and the freedom to be involved with my boy's activities when they were growing up. There have been many challenges, but at the end of the day, I feel blessed and grateful that I work for a great insurance company like Farm Bureau.
My first introduction to Farm Bureau was through my friendly neighborhood agent. At that time, all I knew about insurance was that it was a requirement to drive. Flash forward a few years when I attended a career fair at ISU in preparation for my graduation. That is when I met David Acevedo by walking up to the Farm Bureau booth and asking "Do you have any need for business majors?". His response was, "Absolutely, here's an application." I filled it out that same day, and two months later, I started my career as an Examiner in the Claims Department. What I didn't realize all those years ago, is that I wasn't just starting my career, I was also signing up to gain a second family. The people I get to work with every day truly make the difference. I wouldn't be where I'm at today without the support from my Farm Bureau family.
Change...that is the one word summary of what I have seen since I began working here in the summer of 1999. I have seen a lot of change. The change has not only included employees, but changes in technologies, ideologies, business practices, and corporate directions. With the change, a lot of growth and learning has also presented itself so that my career at Farm Bureau has moved forward to benefit the company, myself, and my family in ways that I am still learning of to this day. I look forward to the continued opportunities that I have and will have with the intent to retire as a Farm Bureau employee in the not too distant future. I could have chosen at times to move on and take my career to other places, but I have always come back to choose to keep my career going here and will continue to do that to the best of my ability. If nothing else, I have learned that I need to stay open to change.
When Farm Bureau turns 75, I will have been an employee here for 29 1/2 years. I was just 20 years old when I started working for Farm Bureau at the Home Office. I started as a part-time file clerk. I am now the Manager of Personal Lines Underwriting. When I started I didn't plan on making Farm Bureau my career, but the people I worked with were so great, and the opportunity to grow and advance into any division within the company was so strong, that I stayed. I took courses, received on the job training, and I got hooked on Insurance! I worked my way up through the ranks, and ended up in Underwriting. It is challenging and rewarding all at once, and I love it. I have really "grown up here" like our past TV and radio commercials stated. Farm Bureau has grown up too. I have seen us grow out of the use of carbon paper and white out, shelves and shelves of paper files full of client information, and our old legacy computer system. I have seen many, many employees and agents begin their careers here, and just as many retire. I was newly married when I started working here, so I have gone through the births of both my children, their graduations, and most recently the birth of my first grandchild, all while working at Farm Bureau. It is amazing to put it in that kind of perspective. Working at Idaho Farm Bureau means the world to me, because it became my career, and gave me a sense that I was making a difference in our State and in our community. Farm Bureau has helped me support my family, enjoy some great travel, and form life-long connections and friendships with many people I wouldn't have met otherwise.
